Sick Notes
If you’ve been off sick for 7 days or less
If you’re off work sick for 7 days or less, your employer should not ask for medical evidence that you’ve been ill. Instead, they should ask you to confirm that you’ve been ill. You can do this by filling in a form yourself when you return to work. We call this self-certification. These forms should be provided by your employer, they are not supplied by us.
If you have been off sick for more than 7 days

MED3 forms (sick notes) are only provided for absences longer than 7 days. We are unable to forward date Med 3 certificates.
In addition and only on request we can provide a clinical letter to state your unfitness for work if appropriate. There could be a fee incurred for this letter as it does not fall under the services we are contracted to provide.
